Welcome to my blog! I am Kerry-Ann Lewis, a wife, mother, teacher, musician, woman of God... Yes, I wear all of these hats and sometimes it's difficult to juggle everything. Yet, my God gives me the wisdom, grace, strength and ability to do it all and more.
I have three teenagers who keep me young and active and a husband who has a heart and compassion for people that truly inspires me. My desire is to do what God has called me to do and be who God has called me to be. This may sound noble but it is a mammoth task. It means that I have to constantly deny self and believe me, that is no easy task. Yet, I am learning to give it to God bit by bit. While at University years ago, I discovered that I love to write. Over the years I have seen God develop this gift in me. I write songs and even started a story of sorts but never completed it. At various times, as thoughts came to my mind during my time of prayer or bible reading, I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to write these thoughts down. Some years ago, I felt the need to share these thoughts with others. It's kind of an opportunity to preach without having to stand in front of a crowd. No, I don't usually like to have to speak in front of people. Strange isn't it considering I'm a teacher? God certainly has an interesting way of doing things sometimes!!! So, here I am creating this blog as an outlet for all these thoughts over the years. Thanks to a Teacher Training Programme I did some years ago I learned to build my own website primarily for use in the classroom. However, I have learned over the years that with God there is always a bigger picture. I am now using these same skills to further God's Kingdom. Who would have thought it? I pray that the little or much that God has given me will truly encourage and inspire you to become the person God wants you to be. |
What I hope to achieve
The purpose of this blog is not just to share my thoughts and ideas but to provide an open forum where fellow-believers can give constructive criticism and in turn also share their thoughts and feelings on various topics.
As fellow-believers we need to encourage one another. The little or much that each person has to offer can and will certainly be a blessing to someone. So, I invite you to be a part of this open discussion as we allow God to use each of us for His honour and glory as we edify the Body of Christ. |
